Party season is in full swing, and you are planning on entertaining in your home. There is no better time to get your bar in order. I’ve put together a list of must-have glassware for your year-round entertaining needs. From highball to martini glasses to red and white glasses, here are the glassware basics for the perfect home bar!
HIGHBALL & LOWBALL GLASSES
WHITE WINE, RED WINE GLASSES & CHAMPAGNE FLUTES
Low ball glasses: short and wide so you can smell the ingredients in the drink.
Highballs glasses: are used to serve ‘tall’ cocktails and other mixed drinks that contain a large proportion of a non-alcoholic mixer, and are poured over ice. Depending on your entertaining style, I suggest picking up 6 to 8 of both low and tall glassware.
Champagne Flutes: or a glass tall enough to allow the bubbles and aromas to develop to their fullest.
Wine glasses. I use the same glass for both white and red but you can certainly get glassware for both. I have invested in stemless and stem wine glasses, thats a better variety for me. If you entertain at home, invest in 8 to 12 of each.
Pint Glasses: I am a bubbly girl. These are a necessity.
Craft Beer Glasses:. I use the same glass for both white and red but you can certainly get glassware for both varietals. If you entertain at home, invest in 8 to 12 of each.
Wheat Beer Glasses. Depending on your entertaining style, I suggest picking up 6 to 8 of both short and tall glassware.

I may have a small obsession with glasses. When we registered for our wedding, I had way more than we needed. I love the different shapes!
I hear you. I am the same way. I need more cabinet space because I am slightly obsessed with cute glassware.
I love these glasses, I could stand to update my collection for the season. I really like some of these, thanks for the inspiration.
I have a huge collection of glassware and wonder how I have missed some of these, planning to add some champagne flutes to my collection next
We have so many glasses from our wedding registry. I try to rotate which one I use, even if it is just for water. Water in a champagne flute, yes!
I must admit this is something I do need to invest in. I have so many odds and end pieces… that I would love to actually have some complete sets to dress up my bar space for when guests are over :) Thank you for the suggestions and deinfitley loving those High balls.
Yes, I love these! Just the idea of having a drink makes me excited. Better be prepared for those spur-of-the-moment mini parties. Haha.
There are so many neat glasses out there. These would be neat to collect and would also make for great gifts too.
My collection of bar glassware is too shabby so I need to do a little shopping next month but I do have some of these already.
I love the stemless wine glasses- classic and chic with just the right touch of modern flare. Beautiful sets!
Omg, I need these. What a collection.. I need to shop this for myself.
