Today I took a break out of the mundane and my daily monotonous routine to do something a little different and kinda refreshing in a way. I called up a girlfriend and went for a little breakfast treat at Casa Costa Bake Shop in the heart of downtown Leander, Tx.

This neat family-owned bakery offers custom cakes, decadent desserts, pastries, strong Brazilian coffee & good eats. They offer an amazing Sunday brunch menu that is divine – which I will have to check out next Sunday, to share with you the incredible dishes they make.

Bright and beautifully designed, this little shop is fresh & hip. A perfect place to come with your girlies to hang out, have a coffee date with your spouse or just sit relax and do some work on your laptop. It offers a variety of treats, including gluten free and dairy free options.

Meet the Owner

Today we caught up with Katie Costa, one of the owners of the bake shop. Who served us with a huge smile and an amazing personality. She and her husband -of Brazilian/ Portuguese descent, have built this amazing shop. Their passion for cooking shows in their carefully crafted desserts, deliciously strong coffee and decadent dishes. They have poured their heart into this place and the love is seen in every corner of the shop. We really enjoyed meeting her and hearing all about how they worked hard to turn an old house downtown into this incredibly chic bake shop.
