You are planing an epic trip to Disney World and you are wondering where to stay.  Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort And Spa is the best hotel to stay at Disney World. From room accommodations to pools, restaurants, bar, gorgeous hotel grounds and great transportation options, The Grand Floridian offers everything to make your Disney vacation an unforgettable and magical experience.

WARM RECEPTION:

Friendly, smiling faces received us when we arrived. They opened our car doors and unloaded our luggages, which were later taken to our suite. The checking in process was fast, the cast member was very attentive to us and we didn’t have to wait in line. My son was given a Birthday button – which was really neat.  We followed our luggages to our room. We were very pleased with the entire checking in experience.

Magic bands open up rooms. If you arrive early you have the option to go to the parks; your luggage is kept at the bellhop service and would be waiting for you in your designated room.

LAGOON VIEW SUITE

We got the double queen bed  suite, with a Lagoon view. We were on the first floor, which was really nice.

Here are the Pro’s:

  • Spacious room.
  • Great Closet space ( with wood hangers).
  • Spacious, double sink bathroom vanity which is separate from tub/shower and toilet area.
  • Rooms comes with a mini fridge.
  • Keurig Coffee Machine.

Con’s:

  • I wish the toilet had its own little room, separate from the bathtub/shower

A great tip if you are planning your trip to Disney World:

Book a package deal and stay  at a Disney World Resort. The additional perks were so worth it for us, additional tickets for the parks. You can upgrade to park hoppers.  Do your research and see which Disney Hotel is best for you and for your family. Resort amenities, gastronomy and proximity to the parks were very important to us and those were one of the main reason why we chose to stay at The Grand Floridian.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE PARKS:

Our favorite transportation to Magic Kingdom was the water taxi, but the monorail was pretty fast as well.  The monorail to Magic Kingdom is so easy to get on. We walked to the second floor of the resort lobby, went thru security screening and got on the monorail. As easy as that.

Water ferry is available at the pier and take you right in front of Magic Kingdom. Friendly Captains, great boats, fast transportation with an incredible view.

Buses, you can take the park buses to the other parks. The bus terminal is located in front of the resort, a few steps pasts the antique cars in the front.

HOTEL  GROUNDS

Can I just pause for a moment to say that the hotel grounds were just spectacular. There is such care and meticulous planning on the garden design. From the trees, to the grass, the plants used. They all played together so cohesively. It was so relaxing to walk around and see the pops of color, and contrast of all the greenery against the white plantation style buildings. I highly recommend taking time to walk around the resort.

We had the best time in The Grand Floridian, hands down the best hotel to stay at. We loved everything about it, from the food to the friendly service. Staying here made our stay magical.
