Ground Turkey in Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Lbs Ground Turkey meat
  • 2 Tbsp Adobo Goya
  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 1/4 Bell Pepper
  • 4 Tbsp Sofrito
  • 24 oz Rao's Homemade Marinara Sauce
    1 jar

Instructions

  1. To your Dutch oven ( or a large pot) Add 2 Tbsps of Olive Oil.

  2. Next, add 2 Lbs. of Ground Turkey meat.

  3. Turn on stove to Medium-High heat and start cooking the ground turkey meat.

  4. Season meat with about 2 Tbsp. of Adobo Goya. Remember to season both sides.

  5. Add 2 Tbsp. of Granulated Garlic.

  6. Then add 2 Tbsp. of Smoked Paprika.

  7. Sear meat, until its brown and caramelized then add the onions.

  8. Next, add the garlic.

  9. Finally, add 3 heaping tablespoons of Sofrito.

  10. Cook all the onions, peppers and garlic until they are soft.

  11. Time to add the marinara sauce + 1 cup of water.

  12. Mix the meat and the sauce together and allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes on low heat.

ROASTING THE ACORN SQUASH

  1. Cut the acorn

  2. Pre-Heat your over to 375 degrees.

  3. While your oven pre-heats, carefully scoop out all the seeds inside the Acorn Squash. 

  4. Lightly drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. 

  5. Place squash on a roasting pan + place the roasting pan in the oven. 

  6. Roast for about 15 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and fork tender.

  7. Next scoop the Ground Turkey in marinara sauce into the squash and enjoy!
