We booked a spectacular stay at El Conquistador Resort & Spa in Fajardo Puerto Rico. Located on the North-East side of the island.  This hotel just reopened for the first time after Hurricane Maria and we were able to be part of its grand re-opening of phase 1. Check out our spectacular room, view and this amazing resort.

Since we traveled as a party of 6, we decided to go with the Governor’s suite. This spectacular suite had 1 bedroom, 2 pull out beds, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchenette/ bar area, living room and 2 balconies. The entryway was spectacular with its receiving table and lamp, perfect for dropping off a bag as soon as you come in. The hallway leads to one of the most spectacular views – palms trees, the Atlantic ocean and a cluster of surrounding island. It took our breath away as it welcome us to our little piece of heaven during our stay.

We probably spent more time at or by the pool. With a great swim up bar, in pool sun deck, amazing staff & a great hot tub, the North Pool is the place to be. There are a couple of other pools at the resort- all, with the exception of the North pool and the Coqui Water park,  are closed for maintenance. Scheduled to open soon, be sure to check the facebook for the latest updates.

The resort also has the Coqui Water park that we were able to enjoy as well. Complete with two massive pools, three big slides and a lazy river the water park is  wonderful for families. They have a full bar and serve food- so you can enjoy all day at the waterpark without having to leave.  My favorite was the infinity pool over looking the Atlantic Ocean -and what a view it was. We relaxed watching sailboats, catamarans go by and you can spot different little island in the distance. It was really relaxing.

The hotel grounds have so much to offer. So much beauty and tropical plants. It has been carefully taken care of and the design is spectacular. This is definitely a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some time away in paradise.
