Downtown Austin Texas is simply amazing! Besides having the second largest & the most beautiful Capital Building in the United States and being the live Music capital of the world,  Austin, is also one of the coolest places to eat!  The city is packed with colorful and unique coffee shops, apartment buildings and eatery; so you kinda need to give yourself some time to be able to taste all of what Austin has to offer.

On our day off, my husband and I decided to spend our day exploring North Austin.  Our adventurous taste buds took us down Burnet Road.  As you drive down Burnet, your eyes are captured by the weird & the eclectic. Little coffee shops, bakeries, bars, eatery & food trucks all along the road. There is so much to explore & see, but more importantly taste and eat!!  This particular morning I was looking for some sweet treats. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I wanted to get an idea of what cute & yummy treats I could find or get inspired by.  So we made a day out of it!

Our first stop was Kellies Baking Co. on 5245 Burnet Rd.

With bright blue walls and yellow accents & decor; this little bake shop is bright and beautiful.  The shop has the perfect vibe for those looking to take a little break and taste some delicious and stunning, sweet treats.

The cookie variety is great! The cookies are decent size and they taste delicious. I don’t know about you; but cookies need to be both delicious & beautiful…and Kellies cookies are both!

Be sure to order one of the filled cookies.  The Nutella filled chocolate chip cookie was by far my favorite….but, to be fair, I must confess that I  have a love affair with Nutella.

If you are looking for something sweet to give to your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, an arrangement of yummy-heart shaped cookies, is the way to go.
