Create your Learning space for Back to School

Whether you have decided on in-person learning or virtual learning for this year, one thing is for sure, we are all on back-to-school mode trying to get things ready and set for our kids.  So I wanted to share how we are getting ready for back to school and how we have made a learning space in our home.  CREATING YOUR LEARNING SPACE FOR BACK TO SCHOOL   can be easy with these ideas, inspirations and with these resources -check it out.

Choose a “desk” for your space. You can get creative on this one to maximize the space that you are working with. Folding desks, long counter tops, a beautiful table.. the possibilities are endless. Just be sure to pick something that will be comfortable and allows you to have all the space that you need.

Select accessories for your space that are both cohesive, glamorous but functional. I am all about functional glam. If its beautiful, it must also serve a purpose in the space.  I find that I am most creative and motivated in a space that is full of glam, a space that is organized and where I can have a home for all of the other things that make my space work! So I have linked below the stunning accessories that I have used in this office/learning space.  Having a beautifully organized space will help you accomplish your tasks.

Change it up. Paint your space. Nothing else can transform a space like a little paint. When selecting a color establish a purpose for your space first, then select the color that will promote that purpose.

Remember that adjusting a color in a space can improve attention, promote creativity or rest. Start with CHOOSING what you want in this space, if its to promote productivity try using an off white color as it helps to improve attention span. If you are looking for a space where a lot of hands-on learning is happening, you will want to go with splashes of red as it promotes creativity and excitement. Browns tend to reduce stress – purples and green promote calm and peace.

Let’s talk about seats baby, let’s talk about you and me…and the fact that chairs play a huge part on our day. Back support, comfort, glam and productivity-chairs also play a huge role on the success of your day. If your family is anything my family then you are looking at different chairs for each member of you family. For example: my husband Clyde is all about comfort and back support, I am all about functional glam, Bella loves unicorn’s and Tyler needs a wobble chair to help him concentrate, stay focused and out of trouble!  I have added affiliate links to the images below so that you can shop our look.

I have been working at remodeling our office/learning space. A GLAM AND FUNCTIONAL OFFICE/LEARNING SPACE ( post coming next week) . We turned our guest bedroom into a functional space for us during this season. Here is the mood board for this space, the big reveal will happen next week. I am still waiting for Tyler’s chair to arrive and some last minute school supplies that I ordered, but the space will be all ready before school starts and I am so excited at what it looks like already!  Do you have a learning space or office space at home?
