I have a small guest bathroom, there is nothing architecturally over the top about it – actually its “bones” are pretty generic. BUT…with a little planning, re-organizing and lots of details, I have been able to bring to life and add huge style to this cute space! I got started by making sure that we had all of the essentials.

The essentials

If you are wondering what I consider the essentials of a guest bathroom here is what I am talking about;  soaps, towels, hand towels, a beautiful burning candle, an arrangement of flowers and  Scott® ComfortPlus™ Toilet Paper; all beautifully styled on a gorgeous tray. These are the must have items -every guest bathroom should have. You are welcomed to add and personalize your guest bathroom, but remember less is more.

What can I say, I am pretty selective with the items I leave in the guest bathroom. A great smelling candle, with a fresh scent is perfect.  Scott Comfort Plus toilet paper, so soft, strong, thick, super absorbent and most importantly clog-free. Finally, the towels must be white!  I always  provide my guest with white towels. I feel like they look cleaner and fresher. I like to dry my towels, with wool balls that have been scented in lavender essential oil, just an extra special touch for my guests. Its all about the details.

Here comes the fun part. Start playing and adding details to your space. I brought in some cool art, functional yet stylish hooks, a fresh shower curtain,  and a white bath-rug.  Styling your bathroom is all about you and what you like in your space. Always remember not to over style a space. Having “white spaces” is what tricks the eye into thinking that your space is bigger than it really is. Adding neutral tones brightens a room, because it bounces more light. This creates an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort…just what you want your guest to feel when they are in your guest bathroom.
