HONEY-SWEETENED LIMONE &TÉ SPARKLER
Like always, I am standing in my kitchen looking at all the lemons and citrus that I have purchased. I do this every time, I over-buy lemons, oranges and limes…I am sure my sub conscience does it on purpose because I love citrus. So today, I have decided to make a delicious SANPELLEGRINO® Limone &tè Citrus Sparkler. My friend will be coming over later to chat and catch up on life, and this sparkler is the perfect drink to serve…after all it is a school night and we have to get up early to take the kids to school the next day!
SANPELLEGRINO® came out with its first organic beverage: SANPELLEGRINO® Limone &tè made with delicious tea extract and Italian fruit juice from concentrate. With only 50 calories per can, I wanted to create with it a citrusy mocktail for our casual evening. Click the image below to purchase & to find out more.
I just thought this drink would be the perfect company for our moment of escape, made by the combination of tea extract, organic cane sugar, light carbonation, and the juice of peaches and lemons from Italy. Its the perfect, refreshing drink.
WHERE TO PURCHASE
Y’all I was all about easy for this evening. I love that Walmart makes it so easy for me to do my shopping. I just went to their website, searched for SANPELLEGRINO Limone &té, added it to my cart and checked out. I got my product delivered straight to my door. I opened the box and my drinks were there ready for me. I didn’t have to go anywhere! It was perfection!
Making this Mocktail
Making this mocktail is pretty simple! Here is my step by step instruction on how you can recreate it at home. Remember that the key to a great tasting mocktail are fresh, organic ingredients and that the path to success is making sure you have everything at hand before you make it. For this SANPELLEGRINO® Limone &tè Citrus Sparkler you will need:
- SANPELLEGRINO Limone &tè
- crushed ice
- small pot
- cutting board
- honey spoon
- wooden spoon
- glass cups
- measuring cups ( 1/4 cup)
I will link up everything that I used at the bottom of this post, for your convince.
HONEY SIMPLE SYRUP
To make the honey simple syrup, simply add 1/4 of a cup of honey, 1/4 cup of water. Add a couple of slices of oranges and lemons and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes. Once the syrup is cool, pour into a serving container. It’s that simple. I use this recipe for other drinks, including herb cocktails that I love making for friends. Honey makes the perfect simple syrup, many of my friend can enjoy it on their dietary restrictions, and it pairs beautifully with herbs like rosemary, thyme and basil – which are my favorite cocktail pairings.
MAKING THE CITRUS JUICE MIX
It is very simple to make the citrus juice mix. Simple juice 2 lemons,2 lime and 2 orange. This is what is going to balance the mocktail, giving it that little tart that will balance out the sweetness.
Tip: if you are going to be making a batch for a larger group, I recommend squeezing the juice of each of these fruits, per person invited.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR MOCKTAIL
Now that you have your honey simple syrup and the citrus juice mix it’s time to start making our mocktail…my favorite part! There is just something about making a beautiful mocktail that just brings me peace.
Set up your station. Have your simple syrup and the citrus juice mix at hand.
Grab some cute glass cups. To me this is what makes or breaks a mocktail. Serving it in a beautiful glass will make all the difference – trust me. Go for the glam here, even if it’s a casual evening.
Add the crushed ice to your cups.
Next, add about an 1/8 of a cup of the citrus juice mix to your glass.
Continue by adding about 2 tablespoons of the honey simple syrup and mix.
Finally, add a can of SANPELLEGRINO Limone &tè to your glass.
