How to style a bohemian inspired birthday!

My dear friend Jeanne was turning 40 & it needed to be celebrated big. Her sweet husband went all out and planned her amazing bash -with just a little bit of my help. It was one of the best birthday parties ever, we seriously partied all night. I wanted to share some tips on how you can plan & style a beautiful bohemian inspired party -like this one-but tailored to you!

start with a bike

I will say that having a cute bike sitting in the entryway of your party is a must. Place it right at the entrance & add some glam. For this look I grabbed an old basket, placed my flowers in a jar (with a little bit of water) and I secured it to the bike.

A unique guest book

We used a painted canvas as the guestbook – it also doubled as a keepsake to the birthday girl. We painted a dream catcher with flowers on it. As the guests arrived they were asked to sign Jeanne’s canvas. Since this was a surprise party, most guest arrived before Jeanne, she was able to see her artwork, signed by all the guest celebrating her life. Her face was priceless!

Start by buying a cute wood easel. We used a kids easel we already owned. If you are looking a wood easel, this one is recommended!

Check out Etsy for prints that you can download. I found a similar print at BohemeMarket on Etsy that I think is very beautiful. You can print it, clip it to the easel & use it as your guestbook. Home made oatmeal cookies & that were both delicious and beautiful, were carefully stacked and wrapped with lace!

The ladder was one of my favorite, with wood planks used as shelves, it was the perfect way to showcase additional bohemian details, including candles, which were light to light the night time party.
