I wanted to share my heart with you, to share something I heard this Sunday. While this post, starts on a personal note, there is a message for everyone who reads. I hope this encourages you, in your current situation.

No fear can hinder now the promises you made

I am living some what of a Jonah moment, this space feels like I am in the belly of the fish. Its a dark, miserable, terrible, and lonely moment.  I have lost friendships, lost trust in close friends, disappointed by the actions of newer friends/bloggers. I feel alone and un-heard. I am discouraged in my passions and in the pursuit of my dreams. I am in the belly of the fish, being battered by all sides; one attack after the other. It’s hard to believe, in a moment like this, that there could come a blessing, a break, a breather.  I am faced with sickness, loneliness, loss, beautiful gifts taken away; I am battered and bruised. Can anyone out there relate?

God wants to remind us

BUT I also feel that at this very moment God wants to remind us, that the story of Jonah, doesn’t end in the belly of the fish. The story doesn’t end in the dark moment, it doesn’t end in the frustration, it doesn’t end in the difficulty, it doesn’t end in the lack of courage. No fear can hinder the promises that He has made over our lives.  Because even when Jonah was in the belly of the fish, God used him. From the moment Jonah was thrown out, the people in the boat were already praising God and were filled with fear of God.

Your story does not end here

So even now, in the midst of your adversity, your difficulty, your loneliness, your battle and chaos, at this very moment that you are in – God is starting to use you in the lives of those around you.  Your story does not end in depression, it does not end in panic attacks, it is not defined by the stressful situations that you face. It is not governed by the words of others. Regardless of the lies told against you, regardless of your circumstances God is here to say He is present and He is using it all for what He has in mind for you.  The story of Jonah ends with a whole city getting saved. God can do, and will, and is able to unravel things in ways that far exceed our wildest dreams and expectations.

By your mercy

So today I encourage you to sit in His presence in expectation. Because The God of Jonah is alive today and is working and is still in the business of doing miracles. There is no depression too deep, no panic attack too strong, no stronghold He can’t break, no fear He can’t beat, He is unstoppable – and He is still working in you. At this very moment, in the dark; in the midst of the storm, He is present.

Let me pray over you…

Lord, I feel like motherhood has so many challenges (life has so many challenges), so many times I sit wondering if I am enough, if I am doing right by my children, if there is more that I can give and do. Some days I feel as if I don’t have anything else to give, and it is by Your mercy, God, that I survive. And while I feel lonely at this moment, I am also aware that there are other women out there who are feeling the same way. Who are thirsty for You, who are in need of You; We want to hear from you Jesus, speak over our lives and fill us, not only with Your peace but with the understanding that we are not alone, and that your arms are holding us tight at this very moment. Let us hear Your voice, let us feel Your embrace and Your Peace. In Your Name we pray. Amen!

Delight His word…

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful”

While I don’t fully comprehend or know God’s plan over my life, at this moment I know that I need to be ready and available to reach out to you, in your situation, in your Jonah moment. I am here to share my life journey in hopes that HE will use it in your life to encourage and lift up your spirt. I am here to pray with you, to read your emails -if you wish to share with me, your Jonah moment. I am believing that our “time in the belly of the fish” is only but a season, a moment -that will be used for a greater impact to the world around us. I would love to hear from you. Send me an email [email protected] or reply in the comments below.

From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help,
