THE GUEST BATHROOM REMODEL: RENOVATING A SMALL BATHROOM
I am finally sharing our The Guest bathroom Remodel: renovating a small bathroom post. I have been sharing a little bit of it on our instagram page, but here is the reveal. INSPIRATION
Originally I wanted this bathroom to have black walls, but I ended up choosing to go with white walls and white wainscoting. I love the crisp contract of the white against the floor tiles. I wanted it to look dramatic yet sophisticated. Since I love marble I ended up going with a blue vanity with sink in a polished Cararra Marble top. I love brass and incorporated that into the sink and soon the shower faucets. When we bought this house this was a renovation project that we knew we would definitely undertake at some point. We have slowly been able to tackle it. Later this year, we plan on retiling the bathtub and replacing the faucets as well. Can’t wait to share more, but for now check out the details for the first part of this renovation.
The Guest bathroom Remodel began with our floors. We chose a darker floor and lighter wall, thinking that it would make this room look bigger than it is, and we were right on. Our white wall seem to be endless as they blend into our white ceilings. As you enter the room your eye’s immediately go to the floor but then the room amplifies with the bright, crisp white walls.
