Our renovation adventure continues; this time we tackled the heart of our kitchen: The Home Coffee Bar. As you get to know us you will soon learn the passion we have for, Coffee. Coffee is probably one of our essential food groups….. I wish I was kidding. So, it will come as no surprise for you to learn that our Coffee bar is an essential corner of our kitchen. lol! YES, I said essential, did I mention We LOVE our coffee?!? We wanted to make this small corner, look really cute, spacious and uncluttered -after all, we use it very often. I also wanted a cute way to display all of my eclectic coffee mugs.
The Transformation
To make room for our home Coffee Bar…this huge, bulky cabinet was the first thing to go!!
Doesn’t it look bigger & brighter already??
After removing the cabinet, we worked on the wall. The wall needed to be scraped and sanded down. You wanted a smooth surface as a final product, so removing any glue, caulk & patching up any holes was very important.
Next, we added a white hook rack to hang mugs & a couple of floating white shelves. I included the links to where we bought ours.
Open shelving made this corner look bigger. It tricks the eye to see this space wider than it really is. If you have a small kitchen space, consider replacing your cabinets with open shelves or simply remove the doors of your cabinets. It will make your kitchen look much bigger than it really is.
Although you see a lot of white on white here, we decided to go with it, because it “shows off” anything that we place on those shelves and in that corner. (like our awesome Espresso Machine & cute coffee mugs).
Our awesome Coffee Bar is finished!!!!!
One of the things that make this an amazing Coffee bar, is this awesome Espresso Machine. It was definitely worth the investment.

What a beautiful corner! You can never go wrong with white. It’s so clean and fresh. Can’t wait to see more transformations!
Mindy,
I completely agree. With our floors being Saltillo tiles, we love the white palette because it doesn’t compete with it. Plus having all the whittles shows off any cool decor you might have.
Thanks for your comment!!
