Happy Galentine’s day ladies!
February 13th has officially been named Galentine’s day, a day to celebrate all your beautiful friendship with all of your lady friends! So gather up the ladies, its time to celebrate the amazing friendship that you have in your life.
This year I wanted to create a table that was beautiful, budget friendly and that could be put together last minute! My birthday is tomorrow (yes I was born on Valentine’s day and I love it) and I want to host the ladies at my house in a budget friendly, no fuss, but still very elegant and glamorous. You know I am all about that glam. So here is how I pulled off our ladies Galentine’s day celebration last minute and within budget – get some ideas, and get planning too + you too can pull off an elegant and glam Galentine’s day party.

- Decide on your colors scheme
- Set up your table
- Time to party.
Pulling off a last minute party means keeping things simple. The ladies and I decided that this year we would just stick to desserts and drinks. Not having to plan a full menu for your party will free up a lot of time and you can still have a lot of fun and get in a lot of trouble with just sweet treats and drinks, right? Our Theme is: Martinis and Morsels
So here is how we keep a party budget friendly. We already mentioned that having a simple menu makes last minute party planning easier; well it also makes it less expensive. Plan what sweet treats you would like to have at the party (a good rule to follow is to have 3-5 of each item per guest). Make a list and ask each guest to bring one of the treats! As the host -plan of buying the rest of the items, drinks, glassware, utensils and decor.
Make a list of the decor that you need, the items needed for your wet bar & drinks, and make sure you have enough utensils, napkins and plates.
This year I decided to use cute paper plates, my white cloth napkins and my glassware. This helped me stay within a great budget. The cute paper plates were perfectly pink and gold and paired perfectly with my nice crisp white cloth napkins. You all know by now -that I love martinis +so I already owned plenty of Martini glasses. Last but not least make sure you leave enough room on the bottom of your list for any decor items that you might need!
Since we are celebrating love and the blessing that are friends, we went with a hot pink, light pink and red color palette. We wanted to keep it very valentine’s day-ish, with colors that are readily available during this time of the year. I added touches of gold and whites as well, to bring a little contrast to all the shades of pink! Remember to share your party’s color palette with your ladies, it might help them decide on which sweet treats to bring.
I love to host and decorate parties. I tend to go over board with the decor and the details +but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love parties that much. With that said I do have a lot of left over decor -from other parties that I have host. If you don’t have left over decor like I do, go shop around your house. Grab a vase, the door wreath decorating your door this season, use your white curtains as a table runner, move things around and re-purpose them for your party. You can also ask your friends to let you shop around their house! My friends know me so well by now- they are constantly texting me the cute stuff they have around their homes, or cute things they see at store – they know I will most likely find an excuse to party -just to use their cute decor ;)
