For the love of coffee

I am a coffee-a-holic ya’ll! I have a passionate love affair with a good, strong cup of espresso. It could be the Caribbean girl in me; I remember as a child, having my grandmother fill my bottles with coffee and milk….mmm, I still remember the smell of freshly brewed coffee in her kitchen.  She grew her own coffee beans, roasted them over a zinc board, that were placed under the sun. Then, she would grind them in her manual grinder.  Its no wonder I am obsessed, I have always associated coffee with great memories.

With that said, it should come as no surprise to learn that we have coffee bar  in the middle of our small the kitchen.  We removed a large kitchen cabinet and opened up a little corner dedicated to my coffee addiction & I have the awesomest espresso machine ever. If you want to read all about that renovation adventure click here.   …and ya’ll, an espresso machine produces a lot of coffee grounds!  a lot!!!
