Life under the Texan sun
Hey beautiful momma! Do you enjoy taking care of yourself, but you don’t have a lot of time to do it? This is the perfect post for you. As a wife/mom of two/ full time blogger/”insert a million other titles here” – me time is very limited. Self care has to be both effective and time saving.
I live life under the Texan sun, where shorts, sleeveless tops and hats are a must, 10 out of the 12 months in a year. Its also pretty dry around here, which means my skin needs a little bit of help staying hydrated.
One of the ways that I like to treat myself, when I am short in time, is by using a good hand scrub. I feel like its a mini spa treatment that I can do at home, in very little time. This is a wonderful recipe that my sweet friend Amy and I made. It smells so good! I love the feeling of the sugar crystals rubbing up against my hands. When I rinse, the essential oils leave my hands feeling so soft. I might have to pause for a second and go scrub my hands, its that good.
Pour 1 cup of white sugar into your mixing bowl. Then add 10 drops of DoTerra essential oil.
Continue by adding 1/4 cup of Fractioned Coconut Oil (or more or less) you want the sugar to be damp.
Continue by adding 12 drops of Lemon Essential Oil.
In your mason jar, place to slices of your Meyers lemon.
Scoop in the sugar and fill jar.
Now you are ready to enjoy your hand scrub.
