Here is what you will need:

3/8 inch ribbon

3 gumballs per necklace

2 felt hearts

needle

metal crochet needle

  1.  Using a metal crochet needle, pierce one side of the gumball. Hold the top of the gumball steady as you guide the needle (see photo above)  move needle around in a circular motion, until you achieve the desired hole size.

2. Flip the gumball over and pierce another hole directly opposite to the first hole. If you try to poke a hole straight through both sides at once, the gumball will split.

3.  Use a large needle to thread the ribbon through the gumballs. Thinner ribbon is easier to string. This is the hardest part, stringing the ribbon.

4. Tie a knot between each gumball as you string it. Remember to space them out evenly!

Gumball Necklace!

This cute necklace makes the perfect Valentine’s day gift for your kiddos & their friends.

Gumball Necklaces also make great gifts.  I made this one (see photo on left) using red and yellow gumballs for a Beauty and the Beast birthday party. Each girl received a necklace inside a baggie as a thank you for coming gift!
